Family medicine

Dr. Alden has a passion for working in rural communities where he can bring naturopathic medicine to those who have previously lacked access to this service. As as a rural doctor, Dr. Alden loves the diversity that he sees in his patient demographic; from paediatrics to geriatrics and everything in between. Whether you wish to discuss a specific health condition, or you are coming to get a check-up, Dr. Alden will intently listen to your concerns and do his best to accommodate your needs.

dr tanner alden gastrointestinal health

Optimal health begins in your gut! Your digestive system is the gatekeeper to a huge portion of your health and when it is healthy you can definitely notice the difference. Bloating, pain, or gas are just a few of the symptoms you may feel that are giving you a warning sign that things aren’t functioning properly.  The cliché “you are what you eat” doesn’t account for the whole picture, it is more accurate to say, “you are what you absorb”.

Dr. Alden’s approach:

  • Detailed history around your digestive system health
  • The use of the most up to date, effective lab testing in the assessment of gastrointestinal health. Some examples include food allergy, SIBO, H.pylori, parasites, and hormone testing.

Conditions (but not limited to):

  • Gas and bloating
  • Food allergies
  • GERD/reflux
  • Celiac disease

The average time in the medical world that it takes to diagnose a chronic condition is from 3-5years from the onset of symptoms. It is Dr. Alden’s goal to reduce the time it takes to get a proper diagnosis so you can get on the right treatment plan for you. Autoimmune diseases are chronic inflammatory conditions in which the immune causes damage to the body. Up to 10% of the population are affected by it with females being affected more than males.
